Linux Users

Download WINE for your version of Linux from:
http://www.WINEhq.org/download

The website for your flavour of Linux may have a custom version of WINE built just for your Linux, so check there also. Online Bible Program has been tested and works with Ubuntu Linux under WINE.

WINE does not fully support Unicode. In particular, characters created by overlaying several characters do not display correctly if at all. Accented Greek and vowel pointed Hebrew do not display properly.

We recommend using the XP setting for WINE.

  1. Install WINE on your Linux system, if it is not already installed.
  2. Insert the Online Bible DVD into the DVD drive and mount it.
  3. Locate the file Setup on the DVD and right click on it and run it using WINE.

When the Online Bible is installed under WINE, an entry is created
Applications / Wine / Programs / Online Bible / Online Bible.

Right click on the entry Online Bible and choose
“Add this launcher to desktop”.

This creates a desktop icon to launch the program.

* Note:
Unlocks must be installed for all user accounts, not just the primary user where the program was first installed.
